Weston Mott & Industrial Bank

This interesting view is the intersection of Industrial and Hamilton Avenue facing north east. The Industrial savings bank has just been built and opened in December of 1909. The streetcar tracks are laid but all the bricks have yet to be put down. Trees in front of the bank and also the factory have yet to be planted. All the trees alongside the factory (along Industrial) have now been removed. The addition to the office portion has now been completed on the west end. This photo appears to have been taken from the Oak Park fire station. At the right is the Weston Mott Axle plant with their office in front. This plant would become Buick factory #31. The Weston Mott factory was built at the same time as Buick factory #01 in 1906.
