| I'm not sure of torque converter assembly before 1971. From 71-81 they were built in factory #31. From 1981 till now (2008) in factory #81. The ashtrays for employees in the factories were made from converter parts and painted red (later changed to yellow). There were so many that they must have been made from rejects. The ashtrays were there in 1972 and when I left in 1997. |
