This view is from the doorway leading to the repair floor facing east at the south end first floor. The dual line in the distance was one of the few survivors from the original Buick City configuration. The cars here were headed for department #53 second floor where I took most of my home movies. This was also where I first entered a Buick factory back in 1972. In 1972 the assembly line was reversed here with the cars coming down instead of going up and was then called "Derby Hill". |
